“ Sometime earlier last
year, as age and weight crept up and old rugby injuries from
bygone years began to reassert themselves to my knee joints
I decided, with some genuine trepidation, to fix
up a few sessions with Shaun. Some members of the BNI group
greeted this referral with obvious pleasure, no doubt happily
anticipating the discomfort that was to come. How right they
were, as Shaun himself readily exclaims,
“ No
pain - No gain,” never and truer
word is spoken.
However, in Shaun’s defence he does
not twist your arm up your back or indeed torment you with
a torrent of negative verbals. Quite the opposite, his coercions
are always positive and tactful and the effort you put in
is down to you alone.
My prime concern was to get fitter after many
years sitting behind a desk - a potential candidate for a
future heart attack - and the fact that I lost a stone or
so relatively quickly with exercise and some guidance on a
sensible diet was an added bonus. I am now much fitter than
day one ‘though I think the knees are merely undergoing
a stay of execution.
The bottom line is that Shaun does know
his trade and as long as you have merely the vaguest element
of willpower then Shaun will most definitely improve both
your stamina and weight. I would commend both he and his new
gym to any member who wishes for a longer and healthier life
and, would in fact suggest those of you who have not yet arranged
a session with him should at least give it a go and test the
facilities - the ideal one to one!”
